Well after many rescheduled rose quartz trips, due to snow, rains, forest fires and road closures, we finally made it to the Greenhorn Mountains to collect the beautiful rose quartz. Is was a beautiful day to spend in the mountains. Temps were great, view was even better. The Antelope Valley Rock Club also joined us on our trek up the mountain where there was plenty of material to collect for all. At an elevation of 7400′ the air was thin, which made the hike to your vehicle, carrying all your rocks, a bit more challenging than most field trips. All had a great time, collected awesome material and visited with even better people.
